This august we went to World of Wonders. On our way back, we were so hungry we decided to take dinner in Noida only. One of our friend recommended Desi Vibes. It was on walking distance from world of wonders. The outer aura itself depicted the traditional theme of the restaurant.
Ambiance @ Desi Vibes
The inside was little dark. Little more brightness would have been better. Decor was totally theme based, Rajasthani village theme. The tables were also accesoriezed with weapons and equipments. Overall I liked it, except some more lighting would be really nice
Staff and service
Service was good, quick, staff was also very courteous.
Food
Well food was above average. Liked their vegetable preparations but biryani was a let down. Menu was pretty wide with lots of varieties.
Pickles and accompaniments
At first we were served with assortment of various pickles. I took garlic pickle, brinjal pickle, green chilli, lemon. All pickles were really nice. Must try. Brinjal pickle tasted exactly like lemon. I am personally fan of pickles, so it was a treat for me. We were also served small papad and vinegar onions with green chutney.
Tamatar Ka Shorba (Spiced tomato soup)
This tomato soup was nice and spicy. But I cant have so spicy food. So could not finish. But if you like your soup to be spiced, tomato shorba should be your choice.
Aam-e-khas
It was mango sharbat (drink). Tasted average.
Thandaai
This was also good but little sweeter for our tastebuds. We also took kesar milk, which tasted good as well.
Nimbu pani
This was shikanji we make at home.
Zeera rice
Plain simple zeera rice, always nice to have.
Veg Biryani
It was served with veg raita. but didnt like this biryani at all. Nothing special about it.
Chaap Do Pyaza
Very nice in taste, spicey, yummy, very good.
Paneer Makhni Masala
This is supposedly their signature dish, which is actually good in taste. Loved this too.
Missi roti
Nice and crisp
Tandoori roti
Pineapple raita
Pineapple raita was also good.
Overall this place was nice, could be tried once. Although you may find it little expensive. Chaap do pyaza is a must try.
