Pier 38
Well after so many plans made and cancelled, we finally went to Cyber Hub on a fine Sunday evening. We planned to go Smash but due to excessive waiting time, decided against it. So finally we found this place on Zomato and stepped into Pier 38.
Ambiance
Pier 38, the name of the pub itself suggests the theme of the place. The decoration of the place is based on sea base, the dockyard, pictures and paintings. The seating arrangement is also nice and chairs are really comfortable. I liked the lighting and the place is quiet nice. The day we went there IPL cricket match screening was going on so crowd was little less. Infact when we entered the place no one was there except us, gradually restaurant filled up.
Staff & Service
Service was good and quick. Staff was also good and courteous except the DJ. We asked to change the music and make it loud because we wanted to dance, they just kept saying 15 minutes more but it never happened. We just went after the dinner. This was really bad. May be it was because crowd was less but we really wanted to dance 🙁 He could play few nice songs at least. I didn’t liked the playlist.
Menu
Menu mainly comprised of Turkish, Persian, and Mediterranean cuisine with some fusions. It was a interesting menu with ample varieties. Drinks menu was also good.
Food
Food at pier 38 was really delicious although quantities for starters was little less. Drinks and food both were impressive. Presentation was also nice. We ordered
- Red wine sangria
- Chocolate Shake
- Mint Iced Tea
- Virgin Mojito
- Chilly Garlic Vegetables
- Tortilla chips with salsa
- Cottage Cheese cigar rolls
- Turkish Soya Kebab
- Lal Paneer tikka
- White sauce pasta
- Turkish Pizza
Red wine Sangria
We ordered a classic domestic red wine sangria. It was pretty good. The fruits were perfect and taste, length of wine was pretty good. I liked it very much.
Chocolate Shake
It was average.
Mint Iced Tea
It was quite refreshing and very well balanced flavor.
Virgin Mojito
We asked for less sweet version and they made it well.
Chili Garlic Vegetables
These were small tit bits for drinks, made in Indo-chinese style, spicy, saucy and deep fried veggies. Taste was good but it was a little oily.
Tortilla chips with salsa
It was good and salsa was really yum.
Cottage cheese cigar rolls
These were really nice and crisp. It was delicious and served with sour cream and hummus. Hummus and sour cream both were delicious.
Turkish Soya Kebab
If you are a soya chaap lover, you will like these too. I personally do not like soya chaap much.
Lal Paneer Tikka
It was also good served with green chutney but could have been better.
White sauce pasta
This was not in their menu and was specially made on our request. But seriously this was really yummy pasta, they can consider to keep this in their menu. ON sides crispy pita bread was served. The pasta was not too creamy and was perfect in taste.
Turkish pizza
This came in the shape of a boat. It was basically pita bread baked with pizza toppings. I moreover felt the taste was like naan made into a pizza. Although the taste was nice.
Food and drinks experience at pier 38 was really good. Although DJ disappointed us. You can surely visit here especially for the good food.
