Taruveda bistro, Civil lines, Jaipur

Taruveda bistro is very beautiful restaurant with very beautiful art boutique. It is an apartment converted into a boutique cum restaurant. Different rooms and hall is dedicated to different kinds of arts, handicraft items, cloths, accessories, pottery, etc.

For dining there is both inside and outside sitting. In summers inside sitting is best, as no acs or cooling outside.
Ambiance:  Apart from being really beautiful, it is quite and comfortable. You can just go around and have a look to the gallery. You can also buy art from there.

Location: Its location is little difficult to find. But it is a very beautiful place with plants and art. We went there on friendship day, it was hot that day so we chose to sit inside. The dining space is not very big. Infact it is in two small rooms with 3-4 dining tables.

Staff and service : Staff is very courteous and friendly, good service.

Gentry : I would say gentry was more of grown up adults than young people. For us girls, it was little dull. =p

Menu : Menu is quite extensive if you are a non-vegetarian, but if you are a vegetarian and you don’t eat egg, options are really limited. Althouh i would say a very new menu rather than those quiet repetitive menus at other restaurants. For me biggest con was, I am a total vegetarian.

Food:  Our order at taruveda bistro was
  • Summer vegetables and herbs pasta

It was a pink sauce based creamy spaghetti, I don’t remember the taste properly but some of us liked it, some didn’t.

  • The Greek farmer pizza

It was quiet a surprise, thin crust pizza with exotic toppings and caramelized onion and that too served with chili oil. It was really good and a must try for sure.

  • Roasted Vegetable Bruchetta

Bruschetta was pretty crispy and loaded with fresh vegetables, but  the taste of olive oil was so over powering that we didn’t enjoy it ,much. Too much olive oil.

  • Cold coffee

Nice coffee

  • Peach iced tea

It  was good.

I would say this place is a must visit if you are an art lover, and an eggetarian or non-vegetarian. Very few options for vegetarians. It is expensive too.
