In love with street food? Concerned about hygiene? Well when in Bangalore Eat Street is the place you are looking for. You can find different types of street food from different parts of India and even fast food with international cuisines. From golgappas to litti chokha, from hot dog to pastas, from Chinese to Thai, and lots of choices in beverages and desserts makes this place apt for each age group. This place is very lively with music and lots of crowd. It is filled with youngsters.
Ambiance
The place is very lively and decor is just like a busy street filled with food stalls, lots of lighting, a small amphitheater with live music (Band was really good that day). It was a nice place but very crowded.
Self service concept is there because of street food theme, so that becomes a problem when you go with family or large groups.
There are lots of stalls selling different types of cuisines. There is one shop for clothing also. Overall this place gives a feel of chaupati and a good place to hangout if you are low on budget and love street food.
Food
Coming to the food, there so many choices that am sure you will get confused. You get a card when you enter and then with that card you can order your food. This card works on postpaid basis. It usually takes 10 minutes to get your food prepared. We ordered different things from different shops. I don’t even remember what we ordered from which stall.
Waffles with chocolate syrup and vanilla ice cream
Waffles were nice and tasty. I wont give them best waffle tag but they were good. My niece just ate it full, she wont give it to anyone.
Kiwi Rush Cake Jar
It was ice-cream cold cake in a jar, which was really yummy and tasty. I personally loved it.
Veg Hot Dog
It was simple, nothing fancy, subtle taste. Although the shop was so full of people I had to wait for 30 minutes for this and felt could have taken something else. It was not bad and but nothing special about it.
Spicy jalapeno Fries
Well I first thought I will get some kind fritters, but came a box full of french fries, jalapenos and spicy mayo and cheese over it. It was sinful. Taste was good but was so heavy that it was very difficult to finish it.
Lime mint Cooler/ Fruit Punch/ I don’t remember the name of the third drink
All drinks were nice and refreshing
Pav Bhaji
It was simple regular pav bhaji, nothing extraordinary
Pad thai noodles
Spicy and tangy, loved it. But mind you, it was spicy.
Cost
It was very aptly priced, a little higher than street food and thats obvious with such ambiance and space.
Overall I liked this place but more for youngsters. If you want quiet and comfortable dinner than better look for a nice restaurant. For some hustle bustle of street food with good music, good ambiance and hygiene eat street is the place to go.
